Mrs. Barbara Louise Van Ruiten, a long time residence of Sanger, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in Fresno at the age of 82. Barbara was born January 27, 1942 in Hardwick, California to William and Belva Warmerdam. Barbara attended and graduated from Laton High School, class of 1959. In 1961 she married Mr. Jake Van Ruiten, for a short time they lived in Southern California then settled and made their home in Sanger on the River Bottom Ranch. She was a long time member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, out-door activities, and most importantly; spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jake, a son, Danny (Kelly). Daughter's, Tamara and Nanci (Roger), 3 grandsons, 2 step grandsons, 3 granddaughters, and 1 great granddaughter. 1 brother, 1 sister, and many beloved in-laws. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Warmerdam.

A rosary and funeral mass will be held, Friday, January 17, 2025 at 9:30am and 10:00am mass at Saint Mary's Catholic Church on Bethel Ave. and North Ave. in Sanger, California, followed by Interment at the Sanger cemetery.
