It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our beloved Nana, Betty Jean Spellins, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at the age of 70, surrounded by her loved ones.

Betty was loved by all who knew her and made a significant impact on many lives. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Spellins, and her beloved daughter, Joyce Perkins.

She is survived by her two brothers, David Cooper and Wayne Cooper (and wife Dinna Cooper); four grandchildren, Crystal Martinez, Joseph Perkins, Tiffany Lee, and Johnathan Perkins; 16 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betty will be truly missed by all who knew her. She will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten.
