Blas Michael Olivarez

"Michael".

Born on August 24, 1961 to Blas and Frances Olivarez and departed on January 12, 2025.

Sister's Lupe Cordova of San Jose, Terry Gutierrez and Isabel Gomez of Sanger, and Mr. John Olivarez of Sanger, California survived Michael. He was also survived and cherished by many nieces and nephews, amongst numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Brothers, Frank, Martin, and Richard Olivarez of Sanger, and nephews Frank Jr. "Beetle", Shawn Olivarez, Guadalupe Gutierrez, Jr., and Steven Gomez, Jr. of Sanger.

He attended Sanger High School and was part of the Tennis Club while being a student. He graduated in 1980 where he went on to attend Fresno State University and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor's Degree in business administration. After graduating from Fresno State University, he was later hired with Fresno State University working in the Student Administration Department and continued to work for 36 years until his recent retirement in 2024.

Michael enjoyed the simple things in life like having brunch at his favorite spot "Mi Linda Tierra" in Sanger. He liked gathering with family on special occasions, Vintage Days at Fresno State and taking the Best Tour Bus to the coast from time to time, always asking when are we going on our next trip? He is also an avid sport fan and would always enjoy his weekends at home watching his favorite team's play football. "Either you're a Fresno State Fan or a Raider Fan, if not get out!" (laugh, laugh) that was just Uncle Michael…

He was loved by many family and friends, acquaintances, and co-workers. His sweet and loving character and giving heart shall always be a memory that will live in our hearts forever. You will be deeply missed Uncle Michael.
