Claudine Mae Walker was born January 27, 1937, in Tulare, California, and made her home in Sanger, California. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Walker, and her son, Darrell Walker, who passed in 1985. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Mehling, and son-in-law Ron Mehling; grandchildren Ronnie Mehling and partner Cassie White, and Tracy Gainer and husband Justin Gainer; and great-grandchildren Owen Gainer, Lillian Gainer, and Brooklyn Mehling. Claudine was the oldest of six siblings. She was preceded in death by her sisters Carole Pratt and Shirley Ward. She is survived by her siblings Margaret Chamberlain, Dan Loflin, and Debbie Carganilla, and by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Claudine, known to everyone as Nana, loved being on the road and gladly put hundreds of thousands of miles on her cars visiting the people she loved. She treasured time with family, enjoyed eating out, and never met a dessert she didn’t enjoy. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nothing made her happier than being with them. 

A graveside service will be held at Sanger Cemetery on Thursday, August 6, at 9:00 a.m. 

Claudine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
