Obituary

Connie Malea Pennington, a beloved resident of Sanger, CA, passed away on December 5th, 2023, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 11th, 1956, to her loving parents, Bill and Ruby Bly, in Exeter, CA. Connie's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family, her career, and her community.

Connie's educational journey was a significant chapter in her life, laying the groundwork for her future endeavors. She successfully completed her high school education, graduating from Mount Whitney High School in 1974. This educational achievement marked a milestone, providing her with a strong foundation for the adventures that lay ahead.

In 1977, Connie's life took an unexpected turn when fate brought her face to face with her true love, Kim, just outside of Goshen, California. Their meeting ignited a deep and lasting connection that would shape the course of their lives. Their love story blossomed, and over time, they grew closer, sharing their dreams, hopes, and aspirations. This special bond ultimately led them to take the momentous step of getting married, and their union would go on to span an impressive 49 years.

Throughout their long and loving marriage, Connie and Kim experienced the joys and challenges that come with building a life together. Their partnership was not only a testament to their enduring commitment but also a source of inspiration for those around them. They weathered the storms of life together and celebrated its triumphs as a united front.

One of the most beautiful aspects of Connie and Kim's union was the arrival of their two beloved children, Kyle and Kaci. Connie embraced motherhood with all her heart, cherishing her role as a parent and instilling in her children the values of love, kindness, and perseverance. She took immense pride in watching them grow and flourish, providing them with the love, support, and guidance they needed to navigate life's challenges and seize its opportunities.

Professionally, Connie dedicated 29 years of her life to the field of school transportation services, showcasing her unwavering commitment and work ethic. Her dedication and hard work undoubtedly left an indelible mark on her colleagues and especially the children she interacted with during her tenure.

Beyond her career, Connie's true joy came from spending quality time with her family, with a special place in her heart reserved for her three cherished grandchildren. Her presence and love will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
