Craig Garbarino 2/3/1957 - 2/2/2023
Craig Garbarino, age 65 years, passed away in his sleep at home on February 2, 2023. He would have turned 66 the very next day. Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly Loman Dean and Frank Garbarino.
Craig was a loving patriarch to "Team Garbarino" with his wife of 28 years, Wendy. He left behind his boys and their wives: Travis and Kaitlyn; and Anthony and Nicole. He was enjoying a new chapter in his life as grandfather to Travis & Kaitlyn's 2-year-old daughter, Quinn.
Before taking on the role of "stay-at-home dad" in 1997, Craig wore many different hats in the working world. He spent 12 years in the beer business, many of which were setting up and managing draft systems in popular restaurants and bars in the Fresno/Clovis area. After that, he shared ownership of a local bar (The Rheinstein) with dear friend Chuck Eha, created and operated a cigar magazine with dear friend Randy Bailey, and owned and operated a Little Debbie distributorship.
Craig spent his youth between Novato, Calif. and Fresno/Sanger. Upon graduating from San Marin High School in Novato, he returned to the Central Valley and served as care provider for his grandparents Claude and Wilma Loman until their passing.
Craig's empathy, quick wit, spot-on impressions, and physical strength was only surpassed by his love and devotion to his "tribe". He relished the time he was able to spend with his family and friends, especially his "sweet pea" and "bag of sugar" Quinn.
Please join the family in a Celebration of Craig's Life on February 23, 2023 Visitation at The Wallin Funeral Home, 1524 9th Street in Sanger.
