Eileen
Crowley
Mar 3, 1944 — Jun 5, 2024
Fresno
Eileen Crowley of Fresno, California died at age 80 on June 5, 2024, after living with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) for 2 1/2 years. Eileen was born on March 03, 1944, to her parents Nubar and Virginia Kazarian in Fowler, CA. She was the beloved wife of Rodger Crowley who passed away less than two months before her. Rodger and Eileen were married on November 30, 1968, and had a loving, fun, and happy life together.
Eileen is survived by her daughter, Staci Gundry and her two children Ethan and Amelia, and by her son Greg Crowley and his wife Melissa Crowley and their two sons, Jack and Dylan. She is also survived by her brother Ron Kazarian, sister Patty Zakarian and her husband Russ Zakarian, stepmother-in-law Joan Crowley, brother-in-law Mike Crowley and sister-in-law Cindy Kingsley, sister-in-law Luelle Robinson and her husband Dave Robinson and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Eileen grew up in the small country town of Fowler, CA where she became close with her elementary and high school classmates and kept ties with them throughout her life. These friends were like brothers and sisters to her. She attended St. Gregory Armenian Church in Fowler and was involved with the Sunday School, ACYO, Ladies Society and Parish Council. The friends from her school and church communities became like family to Eileen and she enjoyed many fun times with her friends. She also had a large Armenian family whom she very much loved and liked spending time with.
After school she held various jobs but soon became a bank teller, which became her career off and on throughout her life. She also owned an ice cream shop for a while in Kingsburg, CA. It was through the bank that she met Rodger as he himself worked at another bank. Shortly thereafter, they were married and lived in Bakersfield where they enjoyed frequent trips to Las Vegas.
After Staci was born, they moved to Fresno and bought a home in which they poured a lot of their time and energy. Eileen loved to garden and created a paradise in her front and back yards, which many people admired. Rodger was always willing to help with her many projects. She couldn't have been happier to acquire a second home in Carmel where she could enjoy the beach, time with her family, and a second place to spend time gardening!
Eileen loved people and was naturally outgoing, always seeking opportunities to talk to friends, family, and strangers. She had a fun, generous, and caring personality that everyone loved. She will certainly be missed!
