Evangelina
Ochoa
May 27, 1947 — Jul 18, 2026
Fowler
Evangelina Ochoa peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 18, 2026, at the age of 79.
Evangelina was born on May 27, 1947, In Buena Vista, Sonora, México. In 1969, she and the love of her life, Angel Ochoa, made their home in Fowler, California. They built a beautiful life together and became proud members of a community that they loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Angel Ochoa, and two of her sons, Gilbert Ochoa and Daniel Ochoa. She is survived by her children, Anna Ochoa and David Ochoa; her mother, Otilia Medina; her sister, Erasma Contreras; her 13 grandchildren; and her 9 great-grandchildren.
To know Evangelina was to know unconditional love. She was an incredible daughter, a devoted sister, a loving wife, and the most amazing grandma. Family was the center of her world, and she made it a priority to build a special and unique relationship with each of her grandchildren. She helped raise many of them, creating memories and traditions that will be carried on for generations.
She had a personality that could never be forgotten. Evangelina was loving, funny, witty, wonderfully sarcastic, and feisty in all the best ways. She had a remarkable gift for making people laugh, making everyone feel welcome, and bringing joy wherever she went. Whether it was a family gathering, a holiday celebration, or an ordinary afternoon at home, she was often the heart of the room and the life of the party.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband and the children who went before her. Her love, strength, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to live on in each of us.
Her legacy is not measured only by the years she lived, but by the countless lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, humor, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a family who will forever miss her, honor her memory, and strive to live by the example she set.
A funeral Mass celebrating Evangelina’s life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church in Fowler, California. Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Rosary at 9:30 a.m., Mass at 10:00 a.m., and burial immediately afterward at Fowler Cemetery.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.
