George Medina Prieto, 87, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, April 17th, 2023.

George was born on February 22, 1936 to Ernest and Eulalia Prieto in Fresno, Ca. He was one of four children including his older brother Tony, older sister Socorro, and younger sister, Velia.

George grew up in Fowler, Ca where he attended Fowler High School. He enlisted in the military at age 17, where he served his country in the Korean War.

George met June in 1961 and they got married in 1962. George was a beloved father of four children; Angelo, Georgia, Karen, and April as well as an admired papa to 6 grandchildren; Candace, Cameron, Anthony, Macy, Aaron, and Andrew.

George began farming in Fowler where he grew Muscat Raisins. In 1971, George bought a ranch in Selma, Ca where he grew Thompson Seedless Grapes and Castleman Plums for 33 years. Upon retirement, he continued growing tomatoes for his family and loved ones.

George enjoyed spending quality time with family, fishing, walking, and gambling.

He was a man of faith and towards the end of his life he expressed that he was not afraid to leave this world and return home to God with his mother, father, and siblings; where his soul will rejoice forever in the presence of our Creator through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen.
