Obituary

On August 2, 2026, Gerardo “Gerry” Padron passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, one day before his 59th birthday.

Born on August 3, 1967, in Sanger, California, Gerry lived a life defined by hard work, integrity, strength, and an unwavering commitment to his family . The son of Justo and Hilda, who preceded him in death, Gerry never forgot where he came from or the values that shaped him.

After graduating from Sanger High School, Gerry began drafting school the very next Monday. Having spent his younger years working in the fields, he was determined to build a new legacy. Through determination, extraordinary talent, and decades of hands-on experience, he built a distinguished career in architecture spanning nearly forty years.

Throughout his career, including his work with Darden Architects, Gerry contributed to the design of numerous hospitals, schools, and significant projects that will continue serving communities for generations to come. His legacy lives not only in the projects he managed, but in the countless lives those spaces will continue to touch.

Those who knew Gerry knew there was no one quite like him. He was brilliant, fiercely loyal, wonderfully stubborn, and endlessly curious. He had a quick wit and an unforgettable sense of humor that could light up any room, and even in his final days, he never lost the ability to make those around him laugh. His family will forever cherish the gift of sharing real belly laughs with him until he no longer had the strength to speak. He loved deeply, worked tirelessly, and lived a life of integrity that earned the respect of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Gerry is survived by his beloved wife, Dioseline; his brother, Justo; and his sister, Adela. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Vanessa, Justo III, Julian, Victor, Matteo, Maxx, Alexxa, and Daniela; and his great-niece, Sophia, and great-nephew, Arthur, all of whom brought him tremendous pride and joy.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated with a Celebration of Life immediately following. Additional details regarding the Celebration of Life will be shared at the services.

As we remember Gerry, we invite you to honor him by sharing a story, extending kindness to someone in need, taking pride in your work, and never missing an opportunity to laugh with the people you love. Gerry understood that while buildings may stand for generations, the greatest legacy we leave behind is found in the lives we touch.

Rest easy, Gerry. Your work here is done.
