Golda Hughes passed from this life on March 15, 2023 and was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior. Golda was born to Joe B. and Ellen Cox on January 7, 1930 in Alanreed, Texas. They moved to Raisin City, California in 1938 where she met Chuck Marshall, they were married in 1946. They started a family and began farming. Golda was devoted to her family and community. She was very active in the Raisin City PTA, the Raisin City Church of the Brethren and the Home Builders of Raisin City. Later her farming extended into the Caruthers community where Golda served many years in the Caruthers Dist. Fair Board. She was a member of the California Farm Bureau, Sun Maid Raisin Growers, and the Central California Almond Growers.
Later in life she married Ron Hughes. Golda and Ron were active members of the Easton Presbyterian Church for many years and after Ron's passing she attended the Caruthers Church of the Nazarene. Golda and Ron were honored as Grand Marshall of the Caruthers District Fair for their many years of service
Golda was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Ellen Cox, her brother Jody Cox. Husbands: Charles Earl Marshall, Eddie "Gabby" Gabbert and Ronald E. Hughes. 2 grandsons: Charlie Marshall and Jacob Marshall. Daughter in-laws: Jean Hughes and Diane Hughes.
