Obituary

Mrs. Guadalupe Mary Vasquez was born February 14, 1942 in Reynosa, Mexico, and her journey took her to Texas as a young child to be with her mother. At the tender age of 15, she moved to Sanger, California, where she met Arnulfo Vasquez. Together, they built a beautiful family of eight children—four daughters and four sons. Lupe's career began at Barr Packing and Sunmaid Packing in Sanger, later moving to Palm Springs, where she brought warmth and kindness into the homes she served as a house cleaner, but to those she worked for, she became much more than that—she became family.

Lupe was a woman of profound faith, a true woman of God. Her greatest joy was found in praising her Lord and Savior and praying fervently for those she loved. Her commitment to her faith and her church was unwavering, and she took great pride in helping those in need. Her genuine hugs, which she offered freely to everyone—even strangers—were a testament to her loving and generous spirit.

Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family, and she was blessed with a legacy that includes 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her love and prayers were the foundation upon which our family was built, and her faith guided us through life's challenges.

Lupe is survived by her children: Esther Francis Rodriguez, Arnold Vasquez and his wife Stella, Adolf Vasquez and his wife Michelle, Sylvia Vasquez, Belen Vasquez, and Ted Vasquez. Sister Mary Garcia and stepsisters Vivian Soto, Eva Soto, Lilly Ybarra, Lisa Soto and Irma Silva. A vast full of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Soto and Ester Mendoza, her son Richard Vasquez, daughter Elvia Vasquez, grandchildren Joshua Vasquez and Ray Ruiz, great-grandchild Taj Vasquez, and her stepsiblings Frank Jr., Rusty, Mary, Connie, and Marcus.

In this time of loss, let us find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with Lupe. We are grateful for the time we had with her and for the enduring impact, she has left on our hearts. As we say goodbye, let us remember her with joy, for she lived a life full of love and purpose.

We would like to close with a favorite verse that embodies the spirit of Lupe's life: "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." May we carry her love in our hearts and honor her memory by living lives filled with compassion and grace.

Thank you,

From those who loved her the most, her famILY!
