Obituary

In Loving Memory of Guillermo Garcia Leal,

Guillermo Garcia, a resilient and hardworking man who began his journey with humble beginnings in Aldamas, Mexico, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 in Selma, California, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Gregorio and Rosaria Garcia in Aldamas, where he grew up and learned the value of perseverance and determination.

Guillermo started with nothing but his dreams and ambition, eventually acquiring land and goats through his unwavering dedication to farming. In his twenties, he courageously immigrated to the United States with his beloved wife, Arjelia, and their two children, Guillermo Jr. and Maribel, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future.  Continuing his passion for farming in America, Guillermo found solace in working the land and caring for his family. He cherished simple pleasures like Kentucky Fried Chicken and Neapolitan ice cream, savoring these treats with a smile.

Guillermo will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his devoted wife, Arjelia Garcia, his brother Jose Garcia, and his sister Matilde Garcia. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience through his seven children: Maribel Resendez, Guillermo Garcia Jr., Bertha A. Velez, Maria G. Garcia, Olga L. Garcia de Cline, Rosario Garcia de Ramos, and Jesus G. Garcia.

Guillermo's memory will also be cherished by his 25 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren who will continue to honor his legacy of hard work, love, and family.  His final words expressed his deep love for his children. "We fondly recall him treating us to leisurely drives through the countryside; while Disneyland may have been out of reach, we cherished our family road trips, outings to the movies, and visits to KFC together."

Guillermo Garcia's life serves as a testament to the power of determination and the enduring strength of family bonds. May his spirit live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.  His grandchildren will forever cherish memories of his kindness and unwavering spirit, while his children fondly remember his playful and nurturing presence during their formative years.

Guillermo Garcia will be profoundly missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him. His family will deeply feel his absence but takes solace in knowing that he is now reunited with those who preceded him in passing. May he rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of his cherished ones and those who have gone before him.
