Obituary

  1. RONALD FEAVER

December 22, 1932 – March 6, 2023

Born in Fowler, CA, to Herbert and Juanita Feaver, Ron was a lifelong resident of Fowler. He attended Fowler schools, graduated from Fowler High School and from Reedley College. He served in the Navy, stationed in San Diego and eventually in NAS Memphis in Millington, TN, where he met and married Annette McCain. They moved back to Fowler where he continued the family tradition and farmed for over 65 years.

Ron is survived by Annette McCain Feaver, his wife of 68 years.

Daughter Dianne Lewis, son-in-law Tim Lewis. Grandson Tom Lewis and wife Amanda, great-grandson Beau and great-granddaughter Ronni. Grandson Steven Lewis and wife Katie, great-grandsons Dawson and Hudson.

Son Bill Feaver and daughter-in-law Paula. Granddaughter Julianna Feaver and grandson Josh Feaver.

Ron loved God, his family, youth sports, and farming. He was an avid supporter of Fowler Baseball where his son Bill coaches. He almost never missed a game in which his children or grandchildren participated...from tee ball to recreational soccer to middle school sports through High School. Baseball and volleyball were his favorites. In addition to his grandchildren calling him "Granddad," he was known as "Granddad" to hundreds of ball players over the years. He loved working on the baseball field and did so until a few years ago. When he could no longer tamp the mound, he could still give instruction on proper mound care. He also loved following the Fowler High School marching band. The Pismo band review was probably his favorite; you could almost always see him marching with the band!

Like his family before him, he was a lifelong member at the Fowler Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Deacon, an Elder, and was always an active member.

He served as a trustee on the Fowler Unified School Board for over 17 years. He was also a trustee for the State Center Community College District for 22 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 26 at 2:30 at the Fowler Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be sent to the Fowler Presbyterian Church.
