Mrs. Helen E. Kovacevich passed to her heavenly rest on Saturday, January 21, 2023, in Fresno, California. She was the only child of Marie Danielson and Earl Stephens, born on December 12, 1927.  Helen attended school in Kingsburg graduating in 1946. The following year she married John "Sid" Kovacevich.

Helen and Sid moved to Sanger in 1955.  Helen worked for Fresno County.  She was a member of Sanger Methodist Church and Sanger Community Church.  She was an active member of the Sanger Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron and Deputy Grand Matron and was Mother Advisor for the Sanger Chapter of Rainbow Girls.  She was Past Queen of Sharon Temple Daughters of the Nile.

Helen loved entertaining. Her daughters, grandchildren and great-grand children were the joy of her life. She and Sid were married for 69 years.  They loved traveling in their motorhome with family and friends.

Helen is survived by her daughters Diana Alexander and Judy Barker(Harry).  Grandchildren Scott Alexander(Lacey), Michael Alexander, Kevin Alexander, Brad Barker(Lisa) and Jeanette Barker.  Her Great grandchildren are Daniel and Lilian Alexander, Jacob, Jackson and Olivia Barker.
