It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Father, Herman Augie Nielsen age 77, of Caruthers, California on September 25 ^th , 2022.  Herman was born June 3, 1945 in Fowler, California to Aage and Hilda Nielsen.  Herman grew up in Caruthers, California where he attended Caruthers High School and graduated Class of 1963.  He served in several Caruthers community organizations throughout the years including, The Caruthers Elementary School Board, The Caruthers Lions Club, The Caruthers District Fair Board and The Sun-Maid Growers Board.  He loved farming and may have had some struggles, but he lived a good life and had many blessings.  He loved America, driving truck, fast cars, history, art, and Rush Limbaugh.  We can only imagine the conversations those two are having up in Heaven.  He would do anything for his family that he loved fiercely.  He had a wicked sense of humor and was honest to a fault.  Despite his sharp tongue there is evidence that Herman was a loving, caring and giving man in the memories shared of his life.  He will be missed, but never forgotten.

Our family is grateful to know that Herman is finally at peace.

He is survived by his loving family 2 sons, Mike Nielsen and his wife Crystal, and Jeff Nielsen, a daughter Erika (Nielsen) Perry and her husband Jimmy Perry. 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, as well as numerous beloved friends.   He will be greatly missed.

Graveside Services will be held at Washington Colony Cemetery on Wednesday October 19 ^th at 10:00 AM, all are welcome.
