Horacio Silva, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by his loving family in his final moments.

Horacio was born on September 1, 1939, in General Bravo, Nuevo León, Mexico. At the age of 18, he met the love of his life, Micaela Ledezma, in Texas. Their connection was immediate and lasting. At 19, they were married and soon after made their way to California, where they built a loving home and raised four children with love and dedication.

A devoted family man, Horacio took immense pride in his children and cherished every moment spent with his growing family. He is survived by his daughter, Ernestina Rodriguez, and his three sons, David Silva, Arturo Silva Sr., and Alonzo Silva, as well as eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. His legacy lives on through them and the many lives he touched.

Horacio will be fondly remembered for his kind heart, humor, and quick wit. He had a special way of bringing joy to those around him. Many who knew him will remember sitting outside with him beneath his large avocado tree, a place where he spent countless hours enjoying his family, friends, and the simple pleasures of life. There, he could often be found playing cards or dominoes with friends, sharing laughter and stories that will not be forgotten.

Horacio's life was a testament to love, family, and the importance of community. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The Silva family finds comfort in knowing Horacio is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Micaela, with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage.
