Hugh "Butch" Lingar III, age 74, of Clovis, California, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Hugh was born on December 22, 1950, in Richmond, California, to Hugh Jr. and Helen (Metzler) Lingar. He graduated from Sanger High School in 1969.  After graduation, he was drafted into the Army where he served for 2 years.  After serving in the army, he returned to Sanger to live. He became a very successful truck and truck engine salesman, then retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in 2010.

Hugh is proceeded in death by his parents Hugh Jr. and Helen (Metzler) Lingar and Brother-in-Law Keith Gantt.  He is survived by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Lingar, of 31 years.  His children Hugh IV, Justin, Sara (Kiel), Ali (James), seven grandchildren, Alexandria (Evan), Jessie (Caitlyn), Hunter, Jacob, Sydney, Kaitlyn, and Mason, five great-grandchildren, Harper, Graham, Noah, Beau, Oliver and his two sisters Mary Gantt and Glenda Lingar.
