Mrs. Irma Garza Perez was born on May 9, 1934, in the Hacienda de San Pedro, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Miguel and Dionicia Garza. She peacefully passed away at the Nazareth House in Fresno, Ca, on September 29, 2025, surrounded by her family.  Irma and her late husband, Homero, settled in Sanger in 1963 where they raised their ten children.

Irma loved to help at Saint Mary's Catholic Church and at Saint Katherine Mission Church in Del Rey Ca. She dedicated her life to assisting the priest in Sacramental services, as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a Member of the Catholic Daughters, the Guadalupe Society and participated in the Pro-Life movement.  She washed the vestments and kept the vestry clean and orderly. Irma was always available to help those needing to access the church. Irma was known and loved by many parish members.

Irma loved her family and enjoyed family visits at her home in Sanger and later at the Nazareth House.  She loved the conversations, laughter and excitement during family gatherings.

She is survived by two brothers Miguel Garza and Ramiro Garza of San Antonio, Tx and her sister Maria Elva Garcia of Dallas, Tx.  She is also survived by her children, Irma Conder (husband James), Maria Sanchez, Norma Kantarakis (husband Jim), Dora Perez, Homer Perez (wife Belinda), Jose Marcos Perez (wife Kathy), Rosie Perez, Alonzo Perez (wife Anne), Alfonzo Perez (wife Janice) and Michael Perez (wife Anita). She is survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren that loved her very much.

Viewing will be held at Saint Mary's Church on North Ave at 9am with rosery following at 9:30am.  The Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am with a procession following to St Peter's Cemetery located 264 N Blythe Ave Fresno, Ca.
