James Harold
Hill
Mar 16, 1946 — Aug 27, 2023
Kingsburg
James Harold Hill, March 16, 1946 – August 27, 2023
Jim was a very Loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved his parents, sister, brother, and nieces and nephews. It was all about family. When his Parents were still here, he insisted on family functions every weekend. He wanted to spend as much time with them as he could as theyaged. He loved spending time with his kids. There was always a reason for a BBQ and his bartending skills. Sometimes it was hard to tell who were the kids and who was the adult. He loved to have fun, from setting off fireworks, to shooting potato guns at the old chicken coop, to beating everyone at cornhole. There was always a lot of laughter with the kids. He was proud of their accomplishments and was there to cheer them on. He was also known for his green thumb. He loved his garden and never met a plant he couldn't grow.
Jim went to Cal Poly his first year of college and stayed with his older brother, David. After the first year when David graduated, Jim moved back home. He then transferred to Fresno State University. He obtained a degree in Chemistry and Biology, and went on to obtain his Clinical Laboratory Scientist license. He then obtained his RIA Certificate. He became the RIA supervisor for Medical Science Laboratory for 35 years, which was later purchased by Fresno Community Hospital. After his retirement from the clinical lab, he went into the durable medical equipment sales with Electronic Waveforms Laboratory.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Berry and Helen Hill of Selma. Jim is survived by his wife, Joni Hill; his son, Steven Hill of Sanger, CA and wife Shae, with three daughters, Brianna Murphy, Marisa Landeros, and Arianna Choate; his daughter, Heather Rohrbacher of McKinney TX, and three daughters, Desiree Davis, Savannah Rohrbacher, and Kylee Rohrbacher. Jim also has three great-grandsons, Landon Murphy, Grayson Murphy, and Kai Davis. He is also survived by his brother, David Hill of Lacey WA, with two sons, Scott Hill and Christopher Hill of Wa; sister, Donna Large, of Fowler, and her husband, Ted, with two daughters Suzanne Hollins of Fowler, and Melinda Mimura of Fowler.
Jim loved to scuba dive in his younger years. He loved marine life. He also liked supporting local animal shelters along with children's cancer research. I am sure he would have had me writing checks to various charities in Maui, helping people and animals due to the wildfires. If you would like to donate to any of these causes in lieu of flowers, I am sure he would have appreciated it.

Any of your local animal shelters are also in great need of help right now and would appreciate the support.
"You gotta have fun!"
