Mr. Jay Rutherford, born January 10, 1966, died at age 57. A Fresno County resident, he was raised in Fowler until 8 years old but lived in Sanger for most of his life. He worked at E & J Gallo Winery for 26 years.

Jay is survived by his beloved wife Maria (Maggie), sons Jason Jay and Jacob Ross Rutherford; father, Clifford Ross Rutherford; sisters Laura Lynn (Mark) Wright, Wendy Gale (Erik) Jensen, and Bonnie Ann (Jess) Murillo.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Lois Neault, deceased wife of Ronald Neault.  Jay passed away on February 9, 2023, after a long illness battling cancer. He is now with his departed family and Heavenly father.

Jay was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Hardest working man you'll ever know. He enjoyed the outdoors, dirt bikes, fishing, hunting and wood working. He was a devoted church member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at 10am on February 22, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 810 N. Bethel Ave. (Jensen and Bethel Ave), Sanger CA 93657.
