Jesus M. Macias of Parlier, California

Jesus Macias passed to his heavenly rest with his family at his side on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. He was one of five siblings born to Celestino and Margarita of Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Jesus lost both his parents at a very young age and followed his older sibling Miguel to the United States via the Bracero Program to work in the United States in agriculture. Jesus became a US citizen on September 9, 1996, a very proud day.
In 1958, Jesus met his future wife Consuelo in Elsa, Texas and married later that year in Edinburg, Texas. They traveled to Washington, soon after welcomed there first son. They later moved to California and settled in Parlier and had five additional children. Jesus and Consuelo were married for 64 years.
Jesus worked in the fields, farmed his own crops and retired from Sun-Maid in 1997. Jesus worked hard to ensure his family was well taken care of and instilled these qualities in his children.
Jesus enjoyed spending time with his family, pets, dancing, doing home projects and working on his yard.
Jesus was preceded in his heavenly rest by his parents, siblings, sons Jimmy and John. He is survived by his wife Consuelo, daughters Margaret and Anita, sons Jesse and Tino, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
