Joel was born on November 21, 1929 in Weslaco, Texas, and he was called to be with his Heavenly Father in his home on January 4, 2026 in Sanger, California. He grew up in Weslaco and moved to Sanger with his wife, Ophelia in 1952. They had four children, Elizabeth, Frances (married to Kenneth), Robert (married to Merari), and Samuel. Joel worked in agriculture for over 60 years, beginning in field work when he was just 14 years old. He also was a truck driver for part of his career. He was preceded in death by his wife and daughter Frances. He was a loving father, grandfather to six, and great-grandfather to nine, and will be missed by many who loved him.
