John T. Ybarra, born on July 10, 1963, in Fresno, CA, to Olivia Valdez and Juan Ybarra, passed away on May 8, 2024. He was raised in Sanger, CA, where he spent the majority of his life and left a lasting legacy. John was the beloved husband of Christina Ybarra for 29 years. Together, they raised two sons, John Ybarra Jr. and Anthony Ybarra. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jonathan, Mateo, Milani, and Kennedy, who brought immense joy to his life. A devoted fan of the Raiders (for better or worse) and a lifelong supporter of the Sanger Apaches football team, John's passion for sports was evident to all who knew him. His boisterous laugh and jovial spirit left an impact on everyone he encountered, making him a memorable and cherished presence in the lives of many. John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 5:30 PMat Wallins Funeral Home in Sanger. A Mass will follow on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 10:00 AMat St. Mary's Church in Sanger, with burial to follow at Sanger Cemetery.
