October 23, 1962- June 21, 2025

Jose Antonio Lara, 62, longtime resident of Sanger CA.  "Coyote" or "Antonio" son of Florentino and Feliberta Lara, caring and loving husband of Ruth Lara passed unexpectedly June 21st in an accident on the outskirts of Sanger.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Ruth, and four children Ennia, Ambar, Luis and Ernesto. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, all living in the Sanger area. Jose not only worked to provide for his family for over 40 years but to allow his immediate family and extended family to enjoy life to the fullest. From humble beginnings, he built his ranch from the ground up to his liking, going as far as to design and build his families home alongside his children. Anyone who met Jose could not forget his infectious laugh and smile, or his willingness to help those who needed it. He worked until recently retiring to his ranch on the north side of Sanger, where he continued his passion working with animals and agriculture. He loved attending dances with his wife and playing with his grandchildren on the ranch. He will be sorely missed and dearly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 7, 2025 5-7PM, a rosary will also be prayed that evening, 6PM at Wallin's Sanger Funeral Home.  A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2025 10AM at St. Mary's on Bethel in Sanger, followed by interment at Sanger Cemetery.
