Jovita O. Rodriguez died peacefully at her home on November 26, 2024. She was born on January 10, 1933 in Tampico, Tamaulipas to Pedro Ortega and Benita Rodriguez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, her two sisters Maria O. Gonzalez, Socorro Ortega, and her husband Guadalupe M. Rodriguez. She was the mother of Juanita Saucedo, Nancy Patrick, Lupe Rodriguez, Aurora Gardner, and Jesus Javier Rodriguez. She is also survived by 12 loving grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

She spent most of her married life as a housewife and was a farmworker before meeting her husband. She loved to buy word find books, watch the Mexican Show "Rocio" and tend to her rose collection which surpassed 100 rose bushes of many varieties. As of two months ago she was still doing daily household chores and working in the garden. Our mother loved the Lord and prayed the rosary daily.

The family would like to give their thanks to Valley Regional Hospice for their kind and loving attention. She was cared for by Dr. Armen Bedrosian, Amber, Jubilee, Melissa, Kenny, Ellie, and Robert. Our family could not have made our mother's last days at home as special and loving without all of their care and support.

The family would like to request those attending to bring any broken rosary beads to be interred with our mother at the cemetery. If you can't attend the graveside service you may leave them with the family the evening of the viewing.
