Juanita was born in Donna, TX on May 15, 1944. She passed away August 26, 2024.  In 1960, she wed the love of her life Rosalio Vasquez Jr.  They met at  a Jamaica sponsored by Our Lady of Sorrows Church. They had 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls.

Juanita was a Teacher/Director for forty-three years at La Colonia Head Start (Fresno County EOC) in Parlier. Juanita was known to everyone in the community as "Teacher Jane" Juanita was an instrumental pillar in establishing La Colonia Head Start here in Parlier. Juanita and Rosalio helped build the actual building at La Colonia with the drive to help the children from the community get a fresh start in their educational journey. She helped as a bus driver to get the kids to and from school when the program needed to transport the local children to school. she would go shopping for the food, she prepared the daily snack for the kids and taught one of the classes. Juanita loved working with children and she  loved helping her community. She made a great impact in the lives of many generations in our community. She also worked at Parlier High School's Tiny Town and continued her love of working with children for a few years.  Juanita brightened and inspired the lives of everyone she touched. Juanita's smile brightened the room.

Juanita is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, her four children: Albert, Andrew, Gloria and Santa. Her 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
