Kelly Dannette
Campbell
May 28, 1959 — May 7, 2025
Sanger
Kelly Dannette (Mason) Campbell, age 65, of Sanger, California, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 7, 2025. A public graveside service for family and friends to celebrate her life will be held on May 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Sanger Cemetery.
Kelly was born on May 28, 1959, the daughter of Kenneth Mason and Glenda (Shelton) Mason. A lifelong resident of Sanger, she built a beautiful life with her high school sweetheart, Thadd Campbell. Together for 50 years and married for 44, their enduring love was a true testament to their devotion—to each other and their family.
Kelly and Thadd were blessed with three children. They welcomed Christopher in 1983. Three years later, in 1986, Colby was born; and soon after, in 1988, Carly was born and rounded out the family perfectly. The Campbell family continued to grow as all of the kids met and married their spouses. Colby and Sarah married in 2009 and welcomed Max, Anson and Holden in the years to come. Carly and James married in 2012 and became parents to Dallie and Dawson. Chris and Nichole married in 2015, and welcomed Matthew and Hailey into the family. Kelly was Nannie to seven beautiful grandchildren. They truly were her pride and joy.
Kelly worked for many years as a dedicated Dental Hygienist, a career she cherished. She found joy in her relationships with her bosses, coworkers, and patients, especially during her time with Dr. Stagis and Dr. Vick, DDS, until health challenges required her to retire.
In her younger years, Kelly loved family trips to Dinkey Creek, where she made lifelong memories fishing with her dad and searching for Hellgrammites with her sisters. She passed on this love of Dinkey to her own children, sharing stories of those special times and watching her kids learn from their Papa. These special traditions have now carried into the next generation, with Dinkey Creek now meaning so much to Chris, Colby, Carly and their families.
After being diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, Kelly was forced to slow down, but her love for her family remained unwavering. Though it became harder to attend school and sports events, when she could not attend in person, she was always cheering from afar. She loved to "see your face" and "get a squeeze," and she might sneak "just a little bite" of your snack—because yours was surely better than hers.
Kelly was a loyal 49ers and Warriors fan and loved teasing her kids when they rooted for the opposing team. She was a proud patriot who supported her local community and treasured her California roots.
Known by many beloved titles—wife, mother, sister, daughter, Auntie, and Nannie—Kelly's warmth, humor, and kindness touched everyone in her circle.
She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Kenneth and Glenda Mason; her son, Baby Campbell; and her precious grandchildren, Eden and Emmett, whom she couldn't wait to hold in heaven.
Kelly is survived by her devoted husband, Thadd; their children and grandchildren; her siblings, Cathi and Richard Hallsten, Crystal and Steve Sherfield, Bonnie and John Krum, and Murray Campbell; her beloved Aunt Kaye and Larry Howard; and dozens of loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Kelly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
