Mr. Kinslow "Ken" Charles Ashford, long time resident of Sanger, Ca. passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 in Fresno, Ca. at the age of 93.  He was born on May 12, 1930 in Cauthron, Arkansas to Wilson and Tosie Ashford.  Kinslow was raised on a farm with 6 brothers and 1 sister.  In 1946, Kinslow moved to California to work.  He met and married the love of his life, the late Marianna G. Ashford.  He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 1951.  After his service, Kinslow worked for R.J. Wayte Construction Company for over 40 years.  Kinslow and Marianna settled in Sanger where they raised two sons, Greg and Kevin.

Kinslow was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran, Korean War Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient.  He enjoyed attending Sanger Bible Church.  He loved supporting his sons and grandkids by attending all of their athletic, academic and performing events.  Kinslow will be best remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather "Papa".  He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Greg and his wife Wendy, Kevin and his wife Joanie,  6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Marianna Ashford, his parents and siblings, and a great grandchild.  The family would like to thank Hinds Hospice for their loving care.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sanger Cemetery under the direction of Wallin's Sanger Funeral Home.
