Leo Vasquez
October 2, 1950-April 15, 2026
Leo Vasquez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away on April 15, 2026, at the age of 75. Born in Mexico on October 2, 1950, Leo eventually settled in Fowler, California, a town he truly loved.
A retired truck driver, Leo's career was a reflection of his adventurous soul. He cherished the open road and the long trips that allowed him to see the world and meet new people at every stop. He never met a stranger he couldn't turn into a friend.
Closer to home, Leo was a familiar and friendly face in Fowler. He took great joy in daily walks through town, stopping to chat with local business owners and neighbors. When he wasn't walking around the neighborhood, he could be found in his garden. He took immense pride in working in his yard alongside his wife, and was always particularly eager to show off his prized backyard avocado tree.
Above all, Leo was a family man. He is survived by his devoted wife, Margarita; his five children: Suzie and husband Freddie, Carlos, Adriana and husband Alonzo, Edgar and wife Jami, and Alex. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren who were the absolute light of his life and whom he loved with all his heart.
Leo's warmth, caring and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
