In Loving Memory of Leopoldo Gonzalez Torrez

      Leopoldo Gonzalez Torrez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and longtime resident of Parlier, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the age of 85. 

     Leopoldo was born on January 26, 1941, in Coahuila, Mexico. He spent many years working for Shafer Farms before retiring. He was a devoted family man who treasured the time he spent surrounded by his loved ones. He also had a great love for sports and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Las Vegas Raiders. 

        Above all, Leopoldo will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends, the memories created during family gatherings, and the lasting impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. His presence, love, and kindness will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family for generations to come. 

         He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Consuelo; his children, Leopoldo Jr., Pedro, Rachel, David, Jorge, and Rebecca; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. 

         He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will forever be carried on by those who loved him. 

        Services Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 p.m., with the Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. 

         A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service at Parlier Cemetery.
