Lisha Ann Cortez-Newsom, 60, ended her fight with cancer on June 16, 2024 in Stockton, California.
Lisha was born on September 25, 1963 in Fowler, CA to Glenda Colvin-Garcia and Oscar Cortez.  She proudly called Sanger her hometown, but was a graduate of Roosevelt High School of 1981.
She worked at the IRS for 14 years as a tax examiner, The Assurance Home for three years as a childcare worker, and finally at Walmart in the deli for approximately five years. She loved riding her motorcycle almost as much as she loved Elvis.  Lisha's main passions were her family, friends, and her only son.
Lisha is survived by her only son, Robert Romero, of Roswell, NM, her partner, Travis Freeman, of Stockton, CA, her brother, Michael Clark, of Orland, CA, her aunt, Mil Riojas, of Sanger, CA and of aunt, Shirley Moock-Sargent, of Clovis, CA, and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to Wallin's Funeral Home, 1524 9th St, Sanger, CA from 5:30-7:00 on June 20, 2024, to honor the life of Lisha.
