Lorraine Gloria Pardini Pistacchio
Mrs. Lorraine Gloria Pardini Pistacchio was born May 19, 1927, to Natale Pardini and Rose Devecchio Pardini in Fresno, California. She was the oldest of three siblings. She graduated in 1945 from Washington Union High School. Lorraine married the love of her life, Aldo Pistacchio, on Feb. 9, 1947. The couple resided in Sanger, California. They were married 62 happy years before Aldo's death in 2009. They had two children, Patty and Larry. Lorraine worked as a teacher's aide for a time, and at the family business, Pistacchio Pump Co., but mostly she enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved serving her family and cooking for family gatherings. Lorraine also served her parish, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sanger. She sang in the church choir, was a member of the Altar Society and a member of the Italian Catholic Federation. Lorraine loved her Savior Jesus Christ and was a faithful Catholic all her life.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Patty Fahrney and her husband Jerry; her son Larry and his wife Karolyn; her grandchildren Michael Fahrney and his wife Emily; Scott Fahrney and his wife Sophia; Lori Fino and her husband Domenic; Lindsey Eggers and her husband Dave; and great grandchildren Harrison and Carson Fahrney, Camilla and Penny Fahrney, Lorenzo and Vittorio Fino, and Kara, Logan and Jonathan Eggers. She is also survived by her two sisters, LaVera Marcelli and Linda Mastro, sister in laws, Nancy Kacerek and Florence Carrara and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Nazareth House in Fresno for the beautiful care given to Lorraine the last years of her life. The nuns and Father Jim were so attentive to her spiritual needs.
