It is with sadness in our hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved Mother, Grandmother & Great-grandmother Maria Esquivel.  She went home to our Lord on August 13, 2022, at the age of 88.  Maria was born January 14, 1934, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico to her parents Merced and Josefa De La Cruz.  Maria met the love of her life the late Gregorio Esquivel in Texas, they married in 1956 then started their family and soon after moved to Sanger, CA. She was a true woman of faith who carried a deep love and reverence for Jesus Christ and demonstrated to live her life by his teachings. She enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with family and friends especially the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be best remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will be dearly missed, although we are left with a great loss, we must remember to cherish the memories we have and remember the essence of her, which was always pure love. She is survived by her 3 sons, Alonso Esquivel, Jaime Esquivel, and Mario Esquivel all of Sanger; and 2 daughters, Maria Navarro and Estella Aguilar both of Fresno; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gregorio Esquivel in 1988, 2 grandsons, Stephen Esquivel and Anthony Esquivel.

A church service will be held Thursday August 25, 2022, 10:00am at Bethel Community Church – The Oasis of Hope, 946 N. Bethel Ave. Sanger, CA followed by interment at Sanger Cemetery.
