Maria Socorro Martinez , age 85, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, in Reedley, CA. Socorro was born in Mission, TX., September 11, 1939, to Sara Garza, and Francisco Annes and raised by her Maternal Grandparents Mauro and Rafaela Garza, along side her sisters Gloria & Zenida Garza. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jose Sotero Martinez Sr., She is survived by her Children Jose S. Martinez Jr., Roberto Martinez, and Belinda Sanchez, Her 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, Her Brother Frank Annes, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Compadres and many Friends. Socorro was an active member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Reedley, CA Her love of Jesus was unwavering. Socorro was always so welcoming and very hospitable. She enjoyed sharing her cooking, baking, dancing, playing bingo, reminiscing with Family and her Comadres, caring for her beloved dogs. Socorro was a beautiful soul, and although she is gone, her memory will live on, "To remember ones loved one, is to Live" "Recordar es Vivir"
