Maria Thomasita Perez
1952-2026
Mrs. Maria Thomasita "Tommie" (Moreyda) Perez, 73, passed away on March 15, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and served as the matriarch of her family.  Tommie was born on March 28, 1952, in Harlingen, Texas, to Ysidoro and Maria Pilar Moreyda. She was raised in Malaga, California, and later graduated from Fowler High School.  Tommie began her career as a teacher's assistant and held various other positions before later being employed with CVT, where she retired after more than 20 years of service.  On July 9th, 1970, she married her beloved husband, Manuel, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage and three daughters.  Tommie will be remembered as a kind, selfless, and beautiful soul. She carried a true heart of gold and loved unconditionally. She had a special way of making everyone feel like her "favorite," a title she lovingly shared with many. She will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

Tommie is survived by her husband, Manuel Perez; three daughters: Liza, Angelica, and Sarah Perez; her sons-in-law, Rob and Oscar; five grandchildren: Alyssa, Mikaela, Miranda, Jacob, and Alana; and four siblings: Maria, Joe, Pilar, and Isabel. She is also survived by her extended family, who grew up by her side and held a special place in her heart as her own brothers and sisters, along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply.  Tommie is preceded in death by her parents: Ysidoro and Maria Pilar Moreyda, and brother, Manuel Moreyda.
