Martin Rico, age 86, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, surrounded by love. He was born on January 30, 1939, in Sanger, California, to Luis and Salud Rico.

Martin was a hardworking, lovable, humble, and kind man—the sweetest soul who was always there to help and never more than a phone call away. He later made his home in Modesto, California, where he lived for 58 years, raising his family and building a life full of love and dedication.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annie Serrato Rico; his son, Martin Rico Jr.; his daughter, Suzanne A. Rico; and his grandson, Aaron Rico.

Martin is survived by his cherished granddaughter, Jenica Rico, and his great-granddaughter, Kianna Patterson, who brought him great joy.

Martin enjoyed spending hours talking on the phone with family and friends, watching his favorite westerns, and completing word searches. He lived a long and good life, rich with love, kindness, and quiet strength.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
