Lady, a cherished member of the Sanger, California community, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, at the age of 98.
Born on August 11, 1927, in Missouri, Mary lived a long and fulfilling life marked by her vibrant personality and love for family and friends.
Mary dedicated much of her career to Sanger High School's front office, where her warm demeanor and welcoming smile left a lasting impression on students and staff alike. Her bubbly personality and genuine love for being around people made her a beloved figure in every circle she joined. Known for her radiant smile and signature pin curls, Mary has an extraordinary ability to brighten any room she entered.
Mary found joy in traveling and camping in her RV, embracing the beauty of the world around her with enthusiasm and wonder. These adventures brought her closer to nature and created countless cherished memories with loved ones. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Eugene Leon Lady: siblings Carl Butler, Violet Thrall, Nellie Hulddeston, Earl Butler, and Pearl Robinson. Their memories remained close to Mary's heart throughout her life.
Mary is survived by a loving family who will forever treasure her legacy: her son Bernie Lady and daughter-in-law Denise Lady: granddaughter Korriene Galvan and grandson-in-law Adam Galvan: great-grandsons Adam Leon Galvan, Levi Krystopher Galvan, and Luke Kamryn Galvan: granddaughter Sarah Lady-Filer and grandson-in-law Shaun Filer of Australia; great-granddaughters Audrey Grace Lady Filer and Avery Carolyn Lady-Filer of Australia; granddaughter Jacelynn Lady; as well as many others who were touched by her kindness.
Mary's memory will live on through the countless lives she touched with her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love. May those who knew her find comfort in remembering the joy she brought into their lives.
Visitation will be held August 17, 2026 at 5:00 PM at Wallin's Sanger Funeral Home at 1524 9th St. Sanger, CA 93657
A graveside service will be held on August 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM tp 2:00 PM at Sanger Cemetery 568 S. Rainbow Route, Sanger, CA 93657
