Mercedes "Meche" Pena passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on December 24 at the age of 80.  She was born on January 4, 1944, to Daniel and Maria Lopez in Los Aldamas NL, Mexico.

Meche is survived by her husband of 60 years, Oscar Pena, her daughter Doraida and husband Rudy, her son Oscar and his wife Jennifer, and her son Juan and his wife Alicia.  She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Rudy, Juan Daniel (JD), Alondra, Sofia, Izziah, Sol, and one great grandchild: Indie.

Meche was a beautiful, kind, loving person who loved to be surrounded by family and friends.  She loved watching her children, grandchildren, nephews, and nieces play sports and was always happy and honored when asked to help with anything.

She will be remembered and dearly missed by all she loved and by all those whose lives she touched.

Visitation/Rosary will be held on January 9, at 5:00 pm at Wallin's Funeral Home in Parlier.  A Funeral Mass service will be held on January 10 at 9:00 am in Parlier at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.  Graveside service will follow.
