Michael Anthony Christie (Mike), son of Joseph and Elizabeth Christie, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024. Born in Fresno, California on February 23, 1948, Michael lived most of his life in Sanger, California. Michael is survived by his brother, Joey Christie and family, sister, Judy Ball, and family, along with nephews and nieces.

Michael excelled as an athlete at Sanger High School. For years he held the record for the most touchdowns scored in a single season. In1966 he was selected to be on the Fresno County All Star team. Michael was a well-known artist and painter. His work was on display annually at the Fresno County Fair. He won numerous awards, and his work was judged the "Best of Show." Over the years he enjoyed spending time with friends and family on his houseboat at Pine Flat Lake. Also, he liked to spend time in Carmel visiting the art galleries. In his later years, being competitive as he was, he played a lot of golf with friends and family with a friendly bet usually involved. We will remember his sense of humor with a twinkle in his eye and his special smile. Mike will be greatly missed.
