Michael Frank Zavala died on May 15, 2023, surrounded by his wife and family.
Mike was born on October 10, 1956 to Mac and Mary Zavala of Fowler. He was the youngest of six brothers and had three sisters as well. He graduated from Fowler High School in 1975. He went on to study carpentry at Fresno City College. He worked as a cabinet maker for several years, and went on to start his own business doing house repairs and renovating properties. Mike met Maria while attending Fowler High School. They married soon after finishing their education.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Mac and Mary Zavala, and brother Raymond Zavala. He is survived by his wife, Maria Zavala; his brothers Manuel, George, Henry, and Benjamin Zavala; and his sisters Rose Amanda Sanchez, Carol Malagon, and Patricia Valenzuela. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mike enjoyed serving at The Worship Centre for many years.
He enjoyed watching the Los Angeles Lakers with family. He loved his cats, the outdoors, and camping with family. Mike enjoyed his collection of train sets. Mike always made time for his family and loved ones, and showed a genuine concern for their happiness and well-being.
Mick, you will forever be missed. Your sense of humor, your laughter, your love for life, and the deep love you always showed for your family.
Rest in Peace, until we see you again.
