Miguel Cantu Rodriguez, a beloved, one-of-a-kind, powerhouse of a man passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on October 20, 1948, to Marcelino & Guadalupe Rodriguez, he lived a life filled with love for his family, his work and his pistachio ranches.

Miguel was born in Mercedes, Texas, coming from a large family of five brothers and four sisters.  He later moved to Reedley, CA at the age of 8.  Miguel started his own farm labor contracting business and eventually moved to Riverdale, CA. He grew his business working for over 40 years, becoming a well-known and respected contractor in the valley.

Miguel was known for his work ethic.  He was strong, hardworking and some may say stubborn at times, but he was clever and full of knowledge which he gained through all his life experiences.  Having been married three times, he was blessed with six boys and three girls.

He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.

Miguel is survived by his loving wife, Marisela Rodriguez Gaytan, His children, Eleazar Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez, Carlos Rodriguez, Jason Rodriguez, Antonio Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Adriana Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez, Alida Rodriguez and many grandchildren.
