Neva Naomi Estes was born May 12, 1923, to William Jonas Estes and Clara Valiara (Powell-Brown) Estes in Sanger, California.  She joined her heavenly father on November 30, 2022, just five months shy of her 100 ^th birthday.

Neva was raised in church by her mother who was a charter member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Sanger.  Neva loved her Lord with all of her heart and faithfully served Him her whole life.  She married the love of her life, her sweetheart Minor Gee, on the actual Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 1941, just before church with Leslie Gee, Minor's father and  pastor of the church, officiating.  Soon after, Minor joined the navy and they relocated to San Francisco.

Their first child, Roland Leslie, was born two years later in 1943, in Burlingame, California.  After Minor's time in the service ended, they moved back to Sanger where Neva become homemaker and mother to four more sons: Terry Minor in 1947, Sydney Thomas in 1950, Robin Eugene in 1956, and Bruce Ernest in 1960.

Neva truly enjoyed life!  She was an avid reader and loved helping in the church library. She also enjoyed camping, traveling in their RV with family and friends, and visiting many parts of the world with Minor. She excelled in sewing, gardening,

quilting and crocheting. She thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Church Ladies group who quilted together,who baked and made enchiladas for fund raisers, and who also sang monthly for the local convalescent home.

But most important to her was her family.  She loved her children and grandchildren with a pure passion and never missed an opportunity to express that love.  She loved her church family, as well, and never missed a service, (unless she was traveling!) until she wasn't able to in her recent years.

Neva is preceded in death by her husband Minor in 2006, son Sydney in 2011, son Terry in 2013, and sister-in-law Vonda Gee in 2014.  She is survived by sister Iris Childs of Fresno, brother-in-law Leon(Marion) Gee of Sanger, sister-in-law Ramona(Don) Hogner of Fresno, brother-in-law Danny (Charlotte) Gee of Sanger, David Gee of Montana, son Roland (Sandra) Gee of Fresno, daughter-in-law Gwendolyn Gee of Fresno, daughter-in-law Kimberly Gee of Sanger, son Robin (Darla) Gee of Sanger, son Bruce (Renee) Gee of Sanger, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
