Obituary

Pete Joseph Reyes was born on September 25th, 1959. He was a lifelong resident of Sanger Ca. He attended Lincoln Elementary School, Washington Junior High School and graduated from Sanger High School in 1977.

Pete attended Reedley Junior College and graduated in 1980 with an Associated of Science degree in Criminology. He also attended Fresno State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.

He started his career in Information Technology as a Computer Operator for VanGas Inc. in Fresno Ca. and SunMet farms in Del Rey Ca. in the 80's as a Computer Programmer.

He continued his career at the Department of Health Services in Sacramento Ca. as a Computer Programmer and PC Support Technician until late 1989. He moved back to Sanger Ca and was employed by the Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 6 Fresno as a PC Support specialist. He worked in various units gaining experience in Network administration and design at Caltrans. He was promoted to Network Operation Specialist, then to Data Processing Manager in 2000. Pete married Helen Puente of the Hanford Puentes of Hanford Ca. in 1980. After a whirlwind romance they had two children, Cameron and Kimberly Reyes. Pete and Helen were married for 36 years and made their life in Sanger. Helen was his ying to his yang, his peas to her carrots. They were avid Los Angeles sports fans of the Dodgers, Rams, and Kings. They were also Los Angeles Rams Season Ticket holders and would attend games regularly during the season.

Pete enjoyed all Los Angeles sports and very, very much dislike the SF Forty Winer's, SF Giants or anything San Francisco. He also had a dislike for the Anaheim Ducks, San Jose Sharks, and Edmonton Oilers of the NHL.
