Ramona Leila Hogner
September 28, 1938 – October 21, 2025

Our beloved mother, Ramona Leila Hogner, went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2025, at the age of 87. Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice knowing she is now in Heaven, reunited with our father, her beloved husband of 65 years.

Ramona was born in Sanger, California, to Reverend Arthur Leslie and Letha May Gee. She attended Sanger schools and graduated from Sanger High School in 1956. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Donald LaRue Hogner, in her parents' home, a union marked by deep devotion, faith, and laughter.

Ramona earned her cosmetology license in 1957 after graduating from Fay's Beauty College. She worked as a beautician until 1964, when she chose to dedicate her time to raising her two daughters, Sonja and Tatia. Her home was filled with love, warmth, and quiet strength. In 1980, she returned to the workforce in home healthcare, caring for others with the same compassion and gentleness that defined her life.

She faced Parkinson's and breast cancer with grace, courage, and unshakable faith. Her life was a testament to endurance and devotion to God, to family, and to love that never falters.

Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents, Reverend and Mrs. Leslie Gee; her sister, Vonda Ilene; and her brothers, William Miland, Thomas Aaron, Minor Eugene, and Daniel Arthur.

She is survived by her daughters, Sonja Gil and her husband Javier, and Tatia Adams and her husband Richard; her grandsons, Writer and Kai; and many extended family members and dear friends who loved her deeply.

Her soft-spoken nature, her faith, and her boundless love will stay with us always.
