Randell Allen Reed passed from this earth on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Randy—as he was always called—was born in Sanger, California, on November 2, 1961. As a youth, he loved visiting Morro Bay with his family and friends. He started out enjoying midget car racing which evolved to a love for motorcycle riding. He was strong, likable, and proud of his good looks and hair.

After attending Sanger High, he joined his family's glass business, eventually becoming the owner of Sanger Glass. He was a favorite of his grandparents, CW and Lena Reed, who lived next to the glass shop and who would always make his favorite lemon meringue pie.

Randy loved working in the garden and found pleasure working with wood. Up to the end, he loved collecting things including Hot Wheels, baseball cards, and his favorite marbles.

Randy lived life by his own sense of freedom and passion for the things he loved most, in spite of his struggles. He will be missed by family and friends.

Randy is survived by daughter Ashley Lynnae Reed Carlson of Bakersfield, CA, married to Steve Carlson, grandchildren Kyndal Carlson, Khloe Carlson, and Kailynn Carlson; son Nicholas Allan Reed of Sanger, CA; father Kenneth Dale Reed; mother Sherry Marie Richins Reed; and sisters DeAnn Marie Reed Short and Melody Leigh Reed Linton.
