Rita Munoz, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend to many passed away on August 23rd, 2023. She was 89 years old. Born on May 23, 1934, in the small town of Parlier California, it is here where she would marry, start a family and live most of her life. Rita was a hard worker, spending the majority of her life working in a variety of places. In the fields with her parents as a youth, to Greenfield's Department store in downtown Parlier in her early 20's, to various packing warehouses before finally settling at Ito Packing in Reedley where she would hold the position as lead floor lady for over twenty years before retiring. But although she was retired, she kept active in her garden. She was an avid gardener spending many hours tending to her flowers and lawn. Other than family, it was her yard that gave her great joy.

Rita is survived by her eldest son Steven Munoz, daughter Norma (Munoz) Martinez, daughter-in-law Marlene Munoz, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Millie and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Munoz and son Manuel Munoz.
