Ronald Dale Peters
May 10, 1943 - April 23, 2023
Fresno, California -

Ronald Peters was born on May 10, 1943, in Fowler, California, to Aram "Shorty" and Gladys Peters. He passed away peacefully while surrounded by his wife and three children on April 23, 2023. He was 79 years old.
Ron grew up in the farming community of Fowler with his loving Armenian-American parents and two adoring siblings. Upon graduating from Fowler High School in 1961, he attended college and afterwards served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Ron then embarked on a 55-year career in the stainless steel wine tank manufacturing industry, beginning with Fresno's esteemed Valley Foundry and Machine Works, where he worked alongside his beloved uncles Leon and Pete Peters.
Ron served on the board of the Leon S. Peters Foundation, was a lifetime member of the Rotary Club of Fresno, and enjoyed reminiscing with longtime friends as part of the Pharaohs Car Club of Fowler.
At the age of 27, Ron met the love of his life, Sharon Krikorian. They married in 1972 and enjoyed more than 50 years together as a happy couple, creating a beautiful family of three children and seven grandchildren. He was a faithful man of God and a dedicated husband and father. His kind and gentle nature led him to be loved by all those he met. Ron enjoyed annual family outings, traveling with close friends, and attending countless Fresno State Bulldog games. He was also passionate about vintage watches and had a special place in his heart for country western music, especially Waylon Jennings.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Sandra Hussey, and brothers-in-law Samuel Stephen Krikorian and Gerald Chitjian.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Peters; daughter Jennifer Tranchina; daughter Robin Berberian and her husband, Joe; son Mitchell Peters and his wife, Marine; grandchildren, Anna, Lauren and James Tranchina; John and Rebecca Berberian; and Ani and Lilit Peters. He will also be deeply missed by his sister Janice Chitjian; brother Dennis Peters and his wife, Lucille; sister-in-law Judy Krikorian, brother-in-law Ted Hussey; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
