Rosa was born September 15th, 1955, to Julian and Isabel Alonzo in Donna, TX. She moved to Del Rey, CA in 1965 with her Uncle Jose and Aunt Felipa Segura. They later moved to Sanger in 1975.

Rosa dedicated her time to her family and friends. Anyone that knew Rosa knew that she lived for her family. She was an amazing mother to her four Children. Joe was born August 15th, 1974, Angel was born November 29th, 1979, Richard and Isabel were born January 8th, 1988. Whether it was a performance at school, the football field, soccer field, basketball gym, or baseball diamond, Rosa almost never missed watching her kids do the things they loved. As time passed, not only was she a great mother, but she also became an amazing grandma to her four grandkids. Kristyna was born December 14th, 1998, Alyssa was born January 13th, 2007, Brandon was born February 12th, 2011, and Avery was born April 24th, 2015.

Rosa was full of life and always had a smile across her face. She enjoyed keeping up with family and friends by talking on the phone, all day and all night. She loved going to the casino to play the slots, win or lose, she always had a smile on her face. She loved to cook, and nothing compared to her famous Mexican rice and chorizo beans. She also loved to listen to music, whether it was her oldies but goodies, the Beatles or Ramon Ayala, something was always playing in the house.  She enjoyed going to the Sanger community center to exercise, play bingo and interact with her friends. She loved to watch her game shows and her regular network TV shows and cannot forget her favorite soap opera "All My Children". She was a sports fan, loved the Cowboys but nothing compared to her beloved Dodgers!!! She almost never missed a game. But nothing made her more happy than having all her kids and grandkids under the same roof with her.

Rosa is survived by her Brother Javier Alonzo, sister Blanca Garza, her cousins Felie Gonzalez, Oscar Segura, Jaime Segura, Joe Segura, Hector Segura and Rick Segura. Her sons Joe Chavez, Angel Chavez, Richard Chavez, and daughter Isabel De Leon. Her grandchildren Kristyna Chavez, Alyssa Chavez, Brandon De Leon and Avery Chavez.
