Rose Edwards Gregory, age 90, was born to Lester Edwards and Rosa Castro in the Central Valley of California.  She was married to Robert Lee Gregory for more than fifty years, until his death.  Together they were parents to three daughters:  Elizabeth Rose Gregory Brewer (Lyle), Kathleen Sue Gregory Reed (Joseph), and Jennifer Carol Gregory Dalerio (deceased) (Julio).  They were grandparents of seven grandchildren:   Justin Brewer, Evan Brewer, Adam Brewer, Micah Brummitt, Sarah Dalerio Delon, Naomi Dalerio, and Emily Dalerio Geraci, and eleven great- grandchildren.

Rose had four brothers, Miles Edwards, John Edwards, Bob Edwards, and Tom Edwards, as well as one sister, Carolyn Edwards Burwell. Until her death, she was the last surviving member of her natal family.   She was an aunt to numerous well- loved nieces and nephews.

As a graduate of the Fresno State College teacher preparation program and the holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Rose served her community for over 36 years.  She was a gifted teacher in the Sanger Unified School District in third and fifth grades and the Kings Canyon Unified School District in the independent study program.

In her spare time, Rose liked sewing, knitting, crocheting, and painting.  She was a gardener who turned out a bumper crop of tomatoes, squash, and peppers each year in her backyard garden.  She also raised peaches, oranges, and plums for the family to enjoy.  Rose loved going dancing with her husband and friends, too!  She was a long- time member of St. Mary's Parish in Sanger and belonged to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
